This listing is for a very unique, hand-made pendant, designed for Civil War relic hunters, metal detecting enthusiasts and history buffs in-general. My name is Leonard Short and I have started a new business combining my two careers of goldsmith/jewelry designer and artifact restoration. This pendant is a precision replica, modeled after a Confederate oval belt plate (Mullinax plate No. 158) that was worn during the American Civil War by the hard-fighting Confederate infantry enlisted men! This particular pattern represents the rare variety that had lead fill and heavy, copper arrow hooks. A " CS" oval belt plate is considered tthe top prize that most Civil War relic hunters have on their bucket list of relics to dig. Dimensions of the pendant are: 35mmL X 21mmW. The bail is uniquely crafted with long-term wear in mind. It has an opening that measures 3mm x 6mm in order to accommodate a very substantial chain. In addition, the bail has my signature, hinge mechanism.
